The Valérie Dumaine label is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! But who is behind these collections of well-defined clothing, made of bold lines and sophisticated design?

Valérie Dumaine studied at Lasalle College. Once she graduated, she gained experience working for several Montreal fashion companies. Then she embarked on a journey to England, for an internship with designer Gaile McConaghie. A few years later, she travelled to Berlin where she lived for a few months and while finding inpirations. She returned to Montreal heavily influenced by Berlin’s fashion.

She then decided to launch her own company, in spring of 2004. She’s been successful ever since!

Her creations are now distributed throughout Canada, the United States and even Japan! Interestingly, her collections are entirely made in Canada.
